Claflin, father of Kenneth Claflin of Cohoes, NY, Christopher Claflin of North Haven, Buzz Claflin of Cheshire, stepfather of William H. Wing, Jr. of North Ft. Meyers, FL, Christine Wing of Punta Gorda, June Wing of East Haven and Anne Hamlin of East Hampton, CT, brother of Karen Hairg of MI and George K. Caflin of Everett, WA. Also survived by 7 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his first wife, Dorothy Endriss Claflin and a brother, Glenn Claflin. He was born Nov. 10, 1934 in Springfield, MA and was a dispatcher for Carrano's Trucking Co. of Northford, CT and retired to Punta Gorda from his longtime home of Wallingford. He was a veteran of the U. S. Navy, Korean War and was a member of the VFW Post 8294 of North Branford.
