MERIDEN - Beverly S. Michalke, 76, died unexpectedly Tuesday, Feb. 19, 2008. She was the wife of Robert A. Michalke. Beverly was born in St. Johnsbury, Vermont on Feb. 23, 1931. Prior to her retirement, she was employed as a secretary at BlueCross/Blue Shield in North Haven. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, also the Order of Amaranth, Order of Eastern Star, the Rainbow Girls and was a Sphinx Shrine Lady. She loved music and played the organ for Masonic functions. Besides her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Sherry Breton and her husband, Robert of Meriden; a son, Scott Cramblit and his wife, Kathi of Meriden; a sister, Wylene Jackson of Burlington, VT; two grandchildren, Nicholas and Amanda Cramblit and nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends may call Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2008 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Beecher & Bennett - Flatow Funeral Home, 48 Cook Ave., Meriden. Funeral services and burial will be private at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Beverly's memory may be made to the Shriners Children Hospital, 516 Carew St., Springfield, MA 01104.

  2. I am sorry for your loss. I knew her for years. I was her daughter-in-law for 11 years. I do thank her for the care of Nicholas and Amanda and being a Mom for them. When I first met her I ws 14 and in Rainbow.
