In New Haven, July 25, 2007, Carlos Manuel Calderon, 93, of New Haven, CT and Lancaster, NH, husband of the late Kathleen L. Calderon, father of Mrs. Elsa Calderon (wife of Paul Thomas) and grandfather of Katie A. Thomas, all of New Haven. Predeceased by his son, the late Carlos M. Calderon, Jr., and seven brothers and sisters. Also survived by his brother, Raul Calderon and many nieces, nephews and cousins in Puerto Rico, Westport, CT, Atlanta, GA, and NJ. Carlos was born in Fajardo, Puerto Rico, May 26, 1914 a son of the late Rafael and Aurora Calderon. He received his Bachelor's degree in agriculture from Mayaguez University. While he lived in Puerto Rico he manged family property which produced sugar cane and was real estate broker. He later worked for 10 years for the ABCD Agency in Bridgeport, CT. Service of interment at Beaverdale Memorial Park, Sat., Aug. 4 at 10:00 a.m. Arrangements under the direction of BEECHER & BENNETT, 2300 Whitney Ave., Hamden.
