Christopher William Horsfall, 37, sadly departed this life on Dec. 14, 2023 at the Hospital of Central CT following a courageous battle with cancer. Chris was born on Nov. 21, 1986 and was the loving son of Melissa Horsfall and the late Richard Horsfall. He was a lifelong resident of Meriden and attended Meriden Schools. Chris was employed by The Wallingford Housing Authority. In addition to his mother, he was the very loved and special nephew of Opal and Dave Berardesca, Craig and Lori Worcester, and Greg Horsfall. He also leaves his bonus mom, Dawn Way, cousins Natalie Berardesca (Rosie), and Jessica Lary. Chris will be missed by his many friends. He leaves his much loved dog, Hank, and his cat, Duke. Chris was predeceased by his maternal grandparents, Gordon Worcester and Simone Vitkus; his paternal grandparents Richard Horsfall and Carol Miller; and uncles Mark and Gordon Worcester.
Chris loved life, he was happiest being outdoors. His greatest joys were fishing (with Grampie), camping, and sitting by a fire pit loving life with family and friends. He was a NY Yankee fan thanks to Grampie and was always up for a game of poker, cribbage, or video game. He was always quick to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. We will miss him, his beautiful smile, and his infectious laugh.
Chris’ family would like to thank the staff at Hartford Cancer Center and the 5th floor staff at The Hospital of Central CT. A special and heartfelt thank you to Savanna – you were Chris’ angel and to The Dream Team.
Friends may visit with Chris’ family at Beecher & Bennett – Flatow Funeral Home, 48 Cook Ave. Meriden on Wednesday, Dec. 20th from 10 am -12 pm and may attend his Prayer Service which will begin at 12 pm. Interment will follow at Walnut Grove Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in memory of Chris to The Hospital of Central CT in support of Oncology Patient Assistance Fund, 100 Grand St., New Britain, CT 06050.

Live life and love God. Chris / Horse is with Jesus I know full well. Of this we spoke in these past few months. He is living eternity with God and I fully intend on seeing him one day again with God too. The only way is through Jesus.
Melissa, God is a God of great order and blessed Chris with wisdom to join friends together for such a time as this and always.
May God’s peace that passes all understanding be with you today and always. In Jesus name, Amen

    • Christopher my friend ❤️ you will be missed so much… your one of The good one’s gone too soon,

  4. Chris, In the short time we knew each other your smile always lit up the room despite the fact that you were in so much pain. Cancer is a wicked savage, but you never let it defeat your spirit. You will forever be in my heart. Until we meet again – Jess

  5. Chris, for now you are just getting ahead of yourself and I have the pleasant memory of having met you. Rest in peace until we meet again.🙏

  6. Chris, you will always be in our hearts. You were always there to help us when we need it, whether it was a good laugh, a sympathetic ear, and in some cases a good swift kick to keep us on the right track. I will always remember the times I spent with my best friend. I love man.

  7. I can’t name an interaction we’ve had over the many years that you were not full of life and laughter. May you rest in peace

  8. Christopher even though we never met face-to-face, I feel like I know you already after hearing all the beautiful stories about you and how close you and Natalie were growing up. I know the God has you flying high with the Angels, and you are no longer in pain. 🙏💙🙏

  9. With our deepest sympathy on the loss of Christopher. May he find internal peace and shine in the ever lasting light of Jesus Christ. He will be in our prayers always.

  10. You will always be a piece of me. I can still hear your laugh… I have been singing king of the road all day today. Make sure you and Grampy catch more then 44 crabs for me… I’m glad your not suffering anymore… love you always and forever Christopher ❤️ 8904

  11. I had the pleasure of serving Horse at Maloneys whenever he would stop in with Christian. This man radiated happiness and was always strictly giggles when he was visiting. His smile and contagious laugh will be missed immensely. I want to extend my deepest condolences to his parents, family and friends. Psalm 34:18 “The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit.”

  12. I have lived here in Wallingford Housing for many years. My heart hurts very much knowing that I will never get to see Chris again, he was one of the best maintenance man on the block, always a smile, I use to give him my homemade muffins, he always great full. He will be greatly missed by everyone 💔Fly High To The Angels 😇

  13. To the Horsfall Family,I\’d like to extend my sincere sympathy on Christopher’s passing. I did not have the pleasure of meeting Chris but I knew his Dad and paternal grandparents from my childhood. It was a wonderful and memorable experience for me.
