Claire Toth Steele

In Wallingford, Oct. 26, 2000, Claire Toth Steele 69, wife of Bruce M. Steele of 815 Still Hill Rd., Hamden. Mother of Jay B. Steele and his wife Ann of Plantsville, grandmother of Megan Steele, sister of Lawrence W. Toth of Tewksbury, MA. Also survived by a niece and two nephews. She was born in Melrose, MA, Aug. 13, 1931, daughter of the late Stephen and Dorothy Byrne Toth. An active member of St. Joan of Arc Church, she taught CCD at St. Joan of Arc and Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Churches for 18 years. For several years, she was a sales clerk for the former Fab Craft Store of Hamden. Funeral from BEECHER & BENNETT, 2300 Whitney Ave., Hamden, Monday Oct. 30 at 9:30 am. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at St. Joan of Arc Church, 450 West Todd St., Hamden at 10 am.
