DONALD A. BARKER, SR. Donald A. Barker, Sr., 77, of Worth Ave., Hamden, husband of the late Norma Jenkins Barker, passed away Tuesday, March 16, 2004 at CT Hospice. He was born in New Haven, a son of the late Walter T. and Maude Elliott Barker and lived in Hamden since 1955. He was a quality control manager at Camco Fittings Co. of Hamden for 30 years prior to retiring in 1994. Mr. Barker was a member of the B.P.O.E. Hamden Chapter # 2224, a former member of Hamden Vol. Fire Dept., Co # 9, he served in the US Army during the Korean War, and enjoyed boating. He is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Wendy and Lee Marks of Beacon Falls, a son, Donald ''Sandy'' Barker, Jr. of Hamden, a sister, Jean B. Hanley and her husband Walter Hanley of Hamden, 2 brothers John ''Jack'' Barker, Sr. and his wife Jean Barker and Walter Barker, Jr. and his wife Dottie Barker all of New Haven and 4 grandchildren, Jacob, Justin, Kathryn & Alyson Marks. Also survived by a sister-in-law, Gloria Elliott. Mr. Barker was predecesed by a sister, Rosolia Barker, 2 brothers, Frank & William Elliott and a sister-in-law, Jean Elliott. Funeral service Sat., March 20, 2004 at 10 A.M. at BEECHER & BENNETT, 2300 Whitney Ave., Hamden. Friends may call Friday from 5-8 P.M. Burial with military honors in Mt. Carmel Cemetery.
