''Firefly'' Stempowicz, In Middletown, Feb. 14, 2002, Doris Jacquelin ''Firefly'' Stempowicz, formerly of Mix Ave., Hamden, wife of the late Lee Stempowicz, mother of Jean Creta of Matthews, NC, grandmother of Jaime Creta Brown of Madison WI and Jared Creta of Matthews, NC, sister of Virginia J. LiMauro of Branford, Eugene Jacquelin of Wallingford and the late Lawrence D. Jacquelin, Joseph C. Jacquelin and Jack Reynolds. She was born in Providence , RI, March 16,1919, a daughter of the late Harry L. and Bernice Wadleigh Jacquelin. She was a member of the Connecticut Alliance of Native Americans, using the name of Firefly. Freinds may call at BEECHER & BENNETT, 2300 Whitney Ave., Hamden, Sunday from 4 - 6 P.M. Burial will be private.
