Dorothy Schmitt Martell

In Hamden, March 29, 2002, Dorothy Schmitt Martell, 89, formerly of 2405 Whitney Ave., wife of the late Raymond Martell, sister of the late Elsie Schmitt Babcock, aunt of Linda Munson of Hamden and Robert Babcock of Branford, great-aunt of Lorie Munson of Hamden, Robert Babcock of Wallingford and Stephanie Kowal of West Hartford. She was born in New Haven, Oct. 1, 1912 a daugher of the late Frank and Emma Arnold Schmitt. She was a graduate of Hillhouse High School Class of 1930 and volunteered over 7000 hours at the Masonic Home of Wallingford and was a volunteer with the American Red Cross. Memorial service Thurs., April 4 at BEECHER & BENNETT, 2300 Whitney Ave., Hamden at 10 a.m. Interment in Beaverdale Memorial Park. Contributions may be made to the Masonic Charity Foundation, P.O.
