Milligan, Douglas Howard In Wadsworth Glen Health Care Center, Middletown, Oct. 7, 2001, Douglas Howard Milligan, 87 of 23 Parkview Rd., Wallingford, beloved husband of Mary Mollica Milligan. He was born in Greenfield, MA, a son of the late Robert and Alice Dinsmore Milligan, served in the U.S. Army during WW II. He worked as a material handler at Pratt & Whitney until his retirement in 1979. He was a member of the United Church of Christ in North Branford, a member of the Guilford Shoreliner Square Dancing Club, the Meriden Cross Trailers Square Dancers and Liz's Sea Shell Round Dancing Club. He was a former Commander of the 104th Infantry Veterans Association. Besides his wife he is survived by four step-children Linda Papa of North Branford, Eileen Selander of Beufort, SC, Betty Biela of Wallingford, James Christenson of Harwinton, CT and nine step-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a brother Francis Milligan. Beecher & Bennett Flatow Funeral Home, 48 Cook Ave., Meriden is in charge of arrangements. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
