Dr. Eugene J. Davidov, 55, of Hamden, lost his courageous battle with cancer on October 11, 2018 at home with his family by his side. He was the beloved husband of Natalia (Pogosova) Davidov. He was born in Moscow, Russia on March 2, 1963, son of Julian and Tamara (Davidov) Gantman. He is also survived by his daughter Nicolette Davidov. As a student at UMass Eugene was a collegiate hockey player and an opportunity to be part of the faculty at Yale lead him to become a resident of Hamden for the past 15 years. An accomplished scientist in the Drug Discovery field, Eugene was smart, modest, and loving and will be remembered as such by all of his family and friends. Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Eugene's family on Sunday, October 14th from 3:00 to 5:00PM at BEECHER & BENNETT FUNERAL HOME, 2300 Whitney Ave., Hamden.
