Edith DelVecchio Vasquez

Vasquez, Edith DelVecchio, July 17, 1933-April 1, 2008 Edith passed away April 1, 2008 with her loving family around her. Edith was a lifelong resident of Hamden, before relocating to Kissimmee, FL. She was the daughter of the late Pasqualina and Venonzio DelVecchio. Loving mother to Maria Yorio (Mark), William Vasquez and Thomas Vasquez, Jr., Edith was a loving grandmother to her grandchildren Joshua and Rebekah, who were the light of her life. She also leaves her devoted friend, Tom. Edith is survived by brothers Vincent DelVecchio, Jr. and Alfred DelVecchio (Flossy) and sisters Angelina Nista, Eleanor Bertolini, Margaret Suffredini (Fred) and Mary Ann Knight (Bill). Before her retirement, Edith worked for the State of Connecticut as a Social Worker for 23 years. Friends may call Friday, April 11, 2008 from 4-8 PM at BEECHER & BENNETT, 2300 WHITNEY AVE., HAMDEN. A service will be held Saturday morning at the funeral home at 10 AM. Burial will be in Beaverdale Memorial Park.
