White, Eleanor C. Lowe In Yale New Haven Hospital, Feb. 10, 2002, Eleanor Coggeshall Lowe White, 85, wife of the late Robert Morris White, MD of Evergreen Woods, 88 Notch Hill Rd., North Branford: daughter of the late Bessie Farren Russell and John Louis Lowe. She was a longtime resident of Orange and a continuous member of the Orange Congregational Church. Beloved mother of Susan Coe Nebolsine of Hamden, Katherine White Buick of North Haven, Robert Morris White, Jr. of Readfield, Maine and David Lee White of Milford. Also, beloved grandmother of twelve grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Sister of the late John L. Lowe III and Betty Louise Lowe. Mrs. White was born in New Haven, July 28, 1916. She graduated from Hillhouse High School in 1934. She was a member of the Hillhouse Alpha Alpha Sorority. She graduated from Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs, NY in 1938. She interned in Dietetics at the Peter Bent Brigham Hospital, Boston, MA. She was a member of the American Dietetic Association and worked as a Dietitian at Skidmore College, Pembroke College at Brown University and the Massachusetts General Hospital and later at Yale New Haven Hospital. She wa most proud of raising her four children. She has resided at Evergreen Woods in North Branford since 1994 where she was active in the book and bridge clubs. Mrs. White spent her summers at her cottage on Settler's Island in South Chatham, NH. She also was an active member of the Fryeburg, Maine Library book club, the Saco, Maine garden club and the Chatham, New Hampshire Historical Society. Funeral service at the Orange Congregational Church on Thursday, Feb. 14 at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent to the Fryeburg Public Library, 98 Main St., Fryeburg, ME 04037-0316.
