Guestbook

  1. I cannot begin to express what a delight this woman was. She was the most influential teacher of my life and I cherished the time I spent with her. It’s been almost 50 years since I graduated and I haven’t seen her since I went back to her while in college to have her take a look at a research paper and a couple of 5-paragraph essays. She was, as I knew she would be, happy to help and her tenure as my favorite teacher lasted a lifetime. I think of her often and hope the many years were kind to her. With love and affection, Guy Covington

  2. Mrs. Phillips was one of my most favorite, most loved teachers. Her sweet smile and enthusiasm were such inspirations to my own teaching career. I wanted to be just like her! My heart and prayers go out to her son and family.
You’ve got to know she made such an impact on all those lives she touched.

  3. I had Mrs Phillips in high school at LCM. She was a dear, sweet woman! She meant a lot to me as a teacher and a person. She was a very special teacher! Especially with the bunch of cut ups in our class, 1972 grads. I loved and respected Mrs Betsy Phillips!
My condolences to her family and friends.
    Kathy Colvin Perkins

  4. Mrs. Phillips was one of my favorite teachers, and helped me love English classes! She was a lady with sharp/quick wit, who cared very much about each student. Those twinkling eyes sparkled with her big smile. She was a very smart lady, short in stature, but tall in confidence and wisdom. I am so thankful for the sweet memories of Mrs. Phillips. My deepest sympathy to her family.
