Evelyn Olga Eder, 76, of East Haven, wife of over 50 years to the late Joseph Eder, passed away on February 21, 2010 at CT Hospice. She was born in New Haven on March 18, 1933 to the late Paul and Erna Eising Konietzka. Evelyn leaves her daughter Elizabeth Weisser and son-in-law James Weisser of Guilford; grandson, Julian Weisser of Guilford; sisters, Irene W. Hart and Heidi K. McColgan both of Hamden; two nieces and a nephew. Evelyn grew up in West Haven where she enjoyed swimming and boating. Evelyn was a graduate of West Haven High School and graduated from the New Haven State Teachers College. She and her husband lived in Hamden for over 50 years. She enjoyed painting and was a former member of the Mt. Carmel Art Association. A Funeral Service will take place at BEECHER & BENNETT, 2300 Whitney Ave., Hamden, on Thursday, February 25th at 10:00 a.m. followed by interment in Oak Grove Cemetery in West Haven.
