Frances B. Callahan
In Hamden, August 9, 2007, Frances B. Callahan, 95, of North Haven, mother of Retired Capt. Robert Callahan, New Haven Fire Dept., of New Bern, NC and grandmother of two loving granddaughters, Kelli Callahan of North Haven and Debbie Callahan Morgan of Hamden. She was predeceased by brother Wesley Cooper. Frances was born in West Haven, Sept. 14, 1911, daughter of the late Robert and Mable Talamage Cooper. She worked for Quinnipiac University in the Food Service Department for 20 years, retiring in 1995. She was a resident of North Haven for 30 years, having formerly resided in West Haven. Funeral service Monday, August 13, 2007 at 11 a.m. at BEECHER & BENNETT-TAYLOR FUNERAL HOME, 410 Campbell Ave., West Haven. Friends may call prior to the service from 9-11 a.m.

kelli, you have been on my mind, and now I know why. I am sorry that a piece of your life has left you; but what memories!You and Debbie were without a doubt the most devoted, and loyal and loving granddaughters and Grandma could ever have hoped or prayed for. Please smile when you remember how wonderful you two girls were to her. And from my point of view she will be remembered for her wonderful cooking; thanks to Grandma I tasted some wonderful foods. Now she rests in the arms of Jesus. May she rest in peace.
We are sorry for your loss. Fran was a wonderful women who was very lucky to have her loving and caring family with her all the time. She was so blessed. Myself , Scott and our daughters have many very fond memories of her with Uncle Bill at our home that we will have forever. Fran and Bill our reuinted again in a much better place.
