In New Haven, Friday, Aug. 27, 2004, Graton H. Ortseifer of Bloom St., West Haven, husband of Harriett Clark Ortseifer. He was born in New Haven, April 17, 1916, son of the late Hiram and Daisy Tomlinson Ortseifer. He served in the US Navy during WW II. Mr. Ortseifer was employed as a meatcutter at Atlantic Supermarket. Besides his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Joan Altvater of Venice, FL, a son, Graton ''Michael'' Ortseifer of Port St. Lucie, FL, 12 grandchildren: Rosella Abate Crowley, Kathleen Abate, Virginia Abate Lynch and Louise Abate all of West Haven, Debora Abate Macilino of North Haven, Mark Altvater of Londonderry, NH, Lisa Altater Mancini of Simpsonville, SC, Jennifer Altvater Harkey of Seymour, Jerald Kelly of Bethany, Kimberly Kelly Wollman of Northford, Claudia Kelly Donavan of Killingworth and Cinthia Kelly Reynold of Plymouth, MA, 27 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild. He was predeceased by daughters, Virginia Abate and Rosella Kelly and sisters, Doris and Rosella Turner and Virginia Ortseifer.
