Gregory. E. “Greenie” Greenwood, 60, of Meriden, passed away on May 7, 2024, at Midstate Medical Center, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and cherished memories. He was born on June 14, 1963, a son of Evan Greenwood and the late Beatrice (Ryzoc) Greenwood. Gregory is survived by his wife Tania (Karmas) Greenwood, his children Alexis and Matthew Greenwood, brother Douglas Greenwood, sister Tracey Oberg and her husband Scott, his nieces Krysta and Erica Oberg, and granddaughter Lena Jankowski. Known for his passion for fishing on his boat, Greg found solace and joy on the water, casting lines, and reeling in memories with his friends.  A social butterfly, Greg had a zest for life that was infectious. His vibrant spirit lit up any room, and his love for a good party was unparalleled. Whether it was a backyard pool party or a night out with friends, Greg was always at the heart of the celebration, spreading laughter and creating unforgettable moments. Above all, Greg’s greatest joy came from spending time with his beloved granddaughter, Lena Grace. Their bond was unbreakable, and Greg cherished every moment they shared together, whether it was passing on his wisdom and love for fishing or sharing their weekly McGriddle. He will serve as a constant reminder to seize the day and embrace every adventure that comes our way.
