DeWees, Hamilton K. In New Haven, November 20, 2008. Hamilton ( Ham) King DeWees of Madison. Husband of Doris West DeWees. Born on June 1, 1929, he was the son of the late Merle and Inez King DeWees. Father of Sheriden DeWees of Santa Monica, CA and Wayne DeWees of Orange County, CA. Step Father of John H. Gray ( Kathleen) of Lusby, MD and Jeffrey A. Gray of San Francisco, CA. Brother of the late Patricia D. Creed. Brother -in-law of Edwin Creed. Also survived by 3 grandchildren: Cynthia Lee DeWees, Stephen Gray and Samantha Gray. Ham served in the U.S. Marine Corp. during the Korean War, as a Staff Sergeant E6 Radar Tech. He was a member of the Madison American Legion. After attending the University of Bridgeport, he was a Sales Engineer for the Packtor Company of Hamden. A Memorial Service will be held at BEECHER AND BENNETT, 2300 Whitney Ave., Hamden on Sunday, December 14, 2008, at 2 P.M. An avid reader, it is suggested that donations in Ham's Name, be made to the Madison Library Building Fund, 801 Boston Post Rd., Madison, Ct. 06443.
