Jack Homer Stevens, of 65B Masonic Ave., Wallingford passed away March 20, 2023 at MidState Medical Center after a brief illness. Husband of Corrine Hickman Stevens. Son of the late Lornal and Catherine Clemace Stevens. Father of Fawn R. DeMello, Holly (Eric) Deltgen, and Randy S. (Sara) Stevens. Brother of the late Larry Stevens. Also survived by seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Jack served in the U.S. Navy submarine service for 24 years prior to retirement, and later was an Engineering Manager for various government contractors. Jack was a 33rd Degree Mason, a Past Grand Commander of Knights Templar of CT, a member and Past Master of Ashlar Lodge #332, a member of Cosmopolitan #125, and was very active in many other Masonic organizations, always in a leadership position.
A Masonic Service will be held on Saturday, April 15th at 4:00 p.m. in the Auditorium at Ashlar Village, Wallingford. Friends are also invited to attend a memorial service at St. Luke Lutheran Church, 1830 Rt. 12, Gales Ferry, CT on Sunday, April 16th at 3 p.m., followed by interment with Navy Military Honors in the church Memorial Garden. In lieu of flowers, donations in Jack’s memory may be made to either the Knights Templar Eye Foundation or the St. Luke Memorial Garden. Arrangements with Beecher & Bennett, 2300 Whitney Ave., Hamden.
