Janice L. Harris

JANICE L. HARRIS West Haven- Janice L. Harris, 76, of 1000 Campbell Ave. passed away suddenly July 5, 2002. She was born in New Haven, March 2, 1926 a daughter of the late Arthur and Rose Abeshouse Harris and had lived in New Haven before moving to West Haven in 1995. She was employed at Rocklin Auto Parts of West Haven for many years, retiring in 1987. Janice devoted much of her time to volunteer activities, as Chaplin of the Women's Auxilliary, American Legion Post #196 of Milford, the American Cancer Society, and the Red Cross. She is survived by a brother, Howell Harris, and his wife Ellen Harris of Killingworth, 6 nieces and nephews and 8 grandnieces and grandnephews. She was predeceased by a sister Ruth Marmelstein and a brother George Harris. Graveside service of interment will be Tuesday July 9, at 10 a.m. in Beaverdale Memorial Park, Section L, New Haven.
