Janice L. King

Janice L. King, age 94, of Hamden, formerly of Darien, passed away on September 12, 2011. Born in Hamden on October 16, 1916, Janice was a daughter of the late Rufus Scott King and Alfrieda Francke King. Janice was a retired school teacher, formerly employed for the Stamford Board of Education. She was predeceased by her sister Alta King and her brother Robert King. Janice is survived by nieces and nephews. Her funeral arrangements will be held privately under the direction of BEECHER & BENNETT FUNERAL HOME, 2300 Whitney Ave, Hamden.
Janice was a friend and colleague of my Mother, Doris M. Smith who was also a Stamford teacher. When my Mother was retired, Janice was a frequent visitor to her cottage on Noroton Ave. in Darien and helpful when she had a bad fall.
