John F. “Tootie” Reynolds, age 56, of New Haven passed away on October 4, 2024. John, the son of Nancy Reynolds of Bloomfield, CT and John H. Reynolds of West Haven, CT, was born in New Haven on October 25, 1967. He is survived by his three children, Marcus Carr, Brittany and Josiah Reynolds; his four siblings, Marlon, Shawnnie, and Tasha Reynolds, and Teri Barnett and her husband Jonathan, and their two children Kiana and Kayla; his aunts, Geraldine “Geri” Cogswell, Gracie Flood, and Juanita Wright; and uncle, Arthur “Art” Cogswell.
He was predeceased by his grandparents and many aunts and uncles. John also leaves behind many beloved cousins and close friends.
John was a hard worker and enjoyed spending his down time hanging out and watching sports with his cousins, eating out with his children, and laughing and having a good time. He will be greatly missed.
Friends are invited to visit with his family on Saturday, October 19th from 10:00-11:00 a.m. at Beecher & Bennett Funeral Home, 2300 Whitney Ave., Hamden, followed by a service celebrating his life at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home.
