Joseph Aaron Matthew, Sr.

North Haven- Joseph Aaron Matthew, Sr., 90, husband of 51 years to Marie Matthew of Mountain View Ter., passed away October 11, 2003 in the CT Hospice, Branford after a long illness. He was born in New York City, April 4, 1913, graduated from Boston University and was employed as a furniture salesman for many years prior to his retirement. He is survived by two daughters; Paula Shea of Hamden, Janette Matthew of Vernon, NJ, three sons; Stephen Matthew of Driehuis, Netherlands, Joseph Matthew, Jr. of Cheshire and Douglas Matthew of North Haven, and seven grandchildren. He was predeceased by a sister Sara. A Memorial Service will be held on Sat., Oct. 18, at 11:30 a.m. at BEECHER & BENNETT, 2300 Whitney Ave., Hamden.
