JOSEPH F. POGMORE Hamden-Joseph Frederick Pogmore, 67, beloved husband of Liliana Pini Pogmore of Mount Carmel Ave. passed away Wednesday, October 24, in St. Raphael Hospital. He was born in Amityville, NY, July 31, 1934 a son of the late Joseph E. and Delia McGuinness and had lived in Hamden since 1941. Mr. Pogmore was an Area Manager in the Western District for the State of Connecticut D.E.P., formerly known as the Park & Forest Commission, retiring in 1997. He was the Park Ranger at the Sleeping Giant State Park from 1966 to 1975. He attended Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church and was a former member of the Hamden Knights of Columbus and served in the US Army with the Military Police in Germany from 1958 to 1960. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a brother James W. Pogmore of Meriden, a sister Kathleen P. Sweeney of Hamden, 2 nieces and 2 nephews. Funeral from BEECHER & BENNETT, 2300 Whitney Ave., Hamden Saturday morning October 27, at 8:30. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church at 9. Burial in St. Mary's Cemetery. Friends may call Friday from 4-8 p.m.
