Joyce E. Screen, 89, of Meriden, loving wife of the late Herbert P. Screen, Jr., passed away on March 27, 2026, at The Bradley Home. She was born in Meriden on March 25, 1937, a daughter of the late Arthur and Dorothy Beaudreau Gollnick. Joyce is survived by her daughters, Kimberly Beauregard and her husband Peter Rocco and Terri Zimmer. She also leaves her grandchildren, Alexa Hopkins and her husband Jeffrey, Hunter Beauregard, and Kiana Rocco, and her great-grandchildren, Colton Pierce and Presley Jean. In addition to her husband Herbert, she was predeceased by her son, Scott A. Screen.

Joyce graduated from Meriden High School in 1956. A veteran, she served in the U.S. Navy as an air traffic controller. She worked at Verdolini’s Restaurant for 33 years, and 30 years at Residential Management Services (RMS).

The only things she loved more than traveling were her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and her many lifelong friends.

Friends are invited to visit with Joyce’s family on Monday, March 30, 2026, from 9:30-11:00 a.m. in Beecher & Bennett-Flatow Funeral Home, 48 Cook Ave., Meriden. A funeral service celebrating her life will begin at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Walnut Grove Cemetery, Meriden. A smile always on her face and I see her in your smiles. She now has had her sunset and rests with the Lord. Blessings on all of you as you traverse this time together.
