In New Haven, September 14, 2006, Julia M. "Judy" Knudsen, of Jones Hill Rd., West Haven. Wife of John R. Knudsen; mother of Lynn Y. Knudsen of Madison and Kathy A. Knudsen of West Haven, sister of Yvonne "Bonnie"Bowersox of Sturgis, MI, and Harold "Bud" Foster of Port Angles, WA. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her step-mother, N. Antoinette Foster and a brother, Alfred Foster. Mrs. Knudsen was born in Three Rivers, MI, April 5, 1931, daughter of the late Elmer and Martha Barnell Foster. She was a graduate of the Swedish Covenant Hospital School of Nursing in Chicago, IL. Mrs Knudsen was on the nursing staff at Yale New Haven Hospital prior to her retirement. She was a member of the New Life Evangalical Free Church in West Haven and a member of the Free Church Womens Ministries. She was a long time resident of West Haven. Funeral Service will be held Monday, September 18, 2006 at 11:00am in BEECHER & BENNETT- TAYLOR Funeral Home, 410 Campbell Ave. , West Haven. Friends may call at the funeral home Sunday from 5-8pm. Memorial Contributions made be made to the New Life Evangalical Free Church, 255 Jones Hill Rd., West Haven, CT 06516.

  6. I spoke to Cliff tonight and he told me of your wife/mothers passing. I was so sorry to hear about it. You guys were always so good to my Aunt Kay and to me when I called you for help with her. With me being in MA and you next store it helped me a great deal.. Please take care and know my thoughts are with you all at this trying time for you. Sarah

  7. Jack, Kathy, and Lynn, I heard about Judy’s homegoing from my Dad, and we sorrow with you that she is gone. But we rejoice with you that she is no longer suffering and is with Jesus. Judy was such a joy and inspiration to me as a teen. I’ll never forget her smile and encouragement.
