Obituary

Kenneth L. 'Sneakers' Wagner, 53, of Hog Hill Road, died Friday, Aug. 18,2000, at his home. He was the husband of Marie Ann Kumm Wagner. He was born in Meriden, March 28, 1947, a son of the late Otto Oscar and Martha Hoffman Wagner and had served in the U. S. Navy during the Vietnam War. He worked for SNET for 28 years and later as an inspector at the Chester Precision Co. in Chester. He was a member of the Middletown B.P.O.E. and was a lifelong member of the East Hampoton V.F.W. and the American Legion in Marlborough. Besides his wife, he is survived by a brother, Robert O. Wagner, of Venice, Fla.; a sister, Marilyn M. Wagner, of Meriden; two nieces, Susan W. McComb, of Wallingford, and Lori Ann Wagner (also his godchild), of Venice, Fla.; and his beloved golden retrievers, Nicholas and Michael. A memorial service will be held Wednesday, Aug. 23, at 6:30 pm. At the Immanuel Lutheran Church, 164 Hanover St., Meriden. The Rev. Perry L. Beaver will officiate. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are under thye direction of the Beecher and Bennett Flatow Funeral Home, 48 Cook Ave., Meriden.
