Lawrence 'Larry' H. Meinsen, of Bates Dr., Cheshire, born July 10, 1927, passed away July 27, 2008. Larry is the beloved husband of Frances Dobkowski Meinsen; adored father of Kendra Meinsen Boshea & her husband Robert of Branford, Cheri Meinsen Birch & her husband Craig of Hollis, New Hampshire, Kris Lawrence Meinsen of Branford & Jackie Kaschel & her husband Paul of Traverse City, MI.; brother of George A. Meinsen of Hamden & the late L. Robert Meinsen. Larry also is survived by 10 cherished grandchildren & 1 great grandson. Larry was employed for 35 years at SNET, retiring as a Production Coordinator. He was a graduate of Hamden High School and Pratt Institute in NY. Larry was a Marine Veteran, a Korean War US Army Veteran and a 1st Lieut. in the US Army Reserve. Friends may call at Beecher & Bennett Funeral Home, 2300 Whitney Ave, Hamden, Wednesday from 5 to 8 PM. A Funeral Service will be held Thursday at 11:00 AM at Olivet Baptist Church, 3762 Whitney Ave. Hamden. Burial with Military Honors will take place at Centerville Cemetery.
