Lillian Jane Meek, 99, wife of the late Franklin L. Meek, passed away peacefully Sept. 29, 2006 in the Masonic Healthcare Center. She was born in Wallasey, England, Nov. 7, 1906, a daughter of the late John and Ellen McDonnell Ross and lived in Granite Bay, Branford for 65 years before living in Bella Vista New Haven for 21 years. She moved to Wallingford in 2000. Mrs. Meek is survived by a daughter, Janice M. Longe of Cheshire, 3 granddaughters, Deborah L. Tenner and husband Steven of Hamden, Dorothy L. Siniscalchi and husband James and Barbara A. Feingold and her husband Bruce, all of Wallingford, and 4 great-grandchildren, Joshua and Sharon Tenner and Tyler and Alexander Feingold. She was predeceased by a son, Franklin H. Meek and two sisters, Nora Mason and Hazel Rotts. Funeral service will be Monday, Oct. 2 at 11 a.m. at BEECHER & BENNETT, 2300 Whitney Ave., Hamden. Friends may call Monday morning from 9:30 to 11. Interment in East Lawn Cemetery. Memorial Contributions may be sent to the Masonic Charity Foundation, P.O. Box 70, Wallingford, CT 06492 in recognition of the excellent loving care she received while residing on Ramage # 3.
