Lois Clark Hansen, 75, wife for 50 years to Richard B. Hansen of Ridge Rd., North Haven passed away Nov. 17, 2002, mother of Deborah Hansen Oftedal of Allen, TX, Douglas C. Hansen and Mark R. Hansen both of North Haven, sister of Gordon M. Clark of Venice, FL and grandmother of Susan, Randall, Andrew Oftedal, Russell, Scott and Christopher Hansen. She was predeceased by a brother Gary P. Clark. Born in New Haven, May 29, 1927 daughter of the late Winfred Ira (W.I.) and Julia Shaylor Clark, she graduated from CT College for Women in '48 with a BA in early childhood education. She served as corporate secretary for the family business, W.I. Clark Co. of Wallingford. As a member of New Haven Country Club her interests included golf and bridge. She also enjoyed antique collecting and the lake cottage. Family and friends are invited to a memorial service at the New Haven Country Club, 160 Hartford Turnpike, Hamden, Friday evening, Nov. 22 at 6:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to CT Hospice, 100 Double Beach Rd., Branford, CT 06405, Gaylord Hospital Development Office, PO Box 400, Wallingford, CT 06492 or to Westminster School, Athletic Endowment Fund, 995 Hopmeadow St., Simsbury, CT 06070-1880. Arrangements under the direction of BEECHER & BENNETT, 2300 Whitney Ave., Hamden.
