Lore L. Neun

Lore L. Neun, 87, of Wallingford, loving wife of Harold Neun for 66 years, passed away on April 24, 2017 at Midstate Medical Center. She was born in Buffalo, NY on May 5, 1929 to the late Karl and Maria Bogenrieder Kolb. Besides her husband Harold, she is survived by her daughters Karen Wood and Sandra (Stephen) Hurd, and her grandchildren Michael (Ashley) Wood, Brian (Allison) Wood, Kevin Wood, Lauren Hurd (Kenneth Sheehan) and Leslie Hurd (Vincent Oxenham). She was blessed with great-grandsons Benjamin, Nathaniel, Beckett and Emmett. She also leaves behind her sister-in-law Marilyn (Howard) Hoff and family. Lore was a very active member of St. John Lutheran Church in Meriden, where she taught Sunday school, sang in the choir, was a member of the Bell Choir, and volunteered in the church office. She was also a Girl Scout leader in Middlefield, where she lived for many years before moving to Wallingford. Lore was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, and will remain cherished by each and every person that she touched. A service celebrating Lore's life will be held on Saturday, May 6, 2017 at 2pm at St. John Lutheran Church, 520 Paddock Ave., Meriden. Interment will be privately held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to St. John Lutheran Church, or to a church of one's choice.
