Mabel Mason Malavase

In Laconia, NH, July 26, 2006, Mabel Mason Malavase, 92, of 5801 Bent Pine Dr., Vero Beach, FL, formerly of 5 Maher St., Hamden, wife of the late Galileo "Gal" Malavase, mother of Gail Murdough of Vero Beach, FL and the late David Malavase; sister of Hazel Carofano of San Pedro, CA; grandmother of Scott Sirles of Lawton, OK, Shane Sirles of Holderness, NH, Clarke Murdough of Austin, TX, Debbie Lyford of Ashland, NH. Also survived by six great-grandchildren. Daughter of the late Alfred E. and Mary Coakley Mason, she was born in Hamden on May 23, 1914, and was a communicant of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel RC church prior to her move to Florida. Before to her retirement in the 70's, she worked at Southern New England Telephone starting as a switchboard operator and later as an office clerk. Funeral from BEECHER & BENNETT, 2300 Whitney Ave., Hamden on Wed., Aug. 2, 2006 at 10:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church at 11 a.m. Interment in St. Mary Cemetery, Hamden. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Lakes Region General Healthcare ER Department, 80 Highland Street, Laconia, NH 03246.
