Mafalda 'Mae' Ferrara Grestini In New Haven, December 13, 2008, Mafalda 'Mae' Ferrara Grestini, 90, of Hamden. Beloved wife of Nazzareno Grestini for the past 67 years mother of Beverly Maturo and husband John Maturo and Valerie Bodie and husband Kevin Bodie both of Hamden, John Grestini and wife Rosemary Grestini of New Haven and Edward Grestini and wife Lauren Grestini of Wallingford. Also survived by 9 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews She was born in New Haven, daughter of the late Nicholas and Maria Franco Ferrara. Predeceased by 1 sister, Katherine Perrotti and 4 brothers, Michael, Eugene, Anthony and Nicholas Ferrara, Jr. Mrs. Grestini was a member of Blessed Sacrament Church and the Ladies Marchegian Society, and the Madonna DiLoreto Society of St. Anthony Church, New Haven. She was a loving wife, mother grandmother and great-grandmother and will be deeply missed. Funeral from BEECHER & BENNETT, 2300 Whitney Ave., Hamden, Wednesday morning, Dec. 17 at 8:30 am. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Blessed Sacrament Church, Hamden, at 9:30. Interment will be in St. Lawrence Cemetery, West Haven. Friends may call Tuesday from 4-8 p.m. Contributions in Mafalda's memory may be to the charity of one's choice.
