I will long remember Mumsie as simply the most lovely and elegant woman, reminiscint of an era bygone. Who remembered one still with written cards, wore gloves and hats, and always, but always knew how to do and say just the most very perfect thing to put you at your ease. So much of these many kindnesses, attention to detail and care for others can be seen in her daughter Kathleen, who–I suspect–is very like the young Margaret. She touched all who met her. What a lovely and loving legacy.
To my friend Margaret and her family, I extend my deepest sympathy. May the wonderful memories of your mother see you through this trying time. Hold those memories dear. My thoughts and best wishes are with you. Love, Cynthia Washburn
