Peggy was born in New Haven on December 4, 1941, daughter of the late Francis and Clara (Miller) Northrop. Before moving to Southbury 6 years ago, she was a resident of Hamden for over 50 years.

Peggy is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, Donald Walker; her devoted children, Craig Walker and his wife Elizabeth of New York City, Heather Ramelli and her husband Al of Hamden, and Katie Walker and her husband Sam Pagan of New York City, her treasured granddaughters, Ella and Tess Walker, her brother Phillip Northrop of Georgia, and many nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by her sister Jeannette Williams, and her brother Ed Northrop.

Growing up in New Haven, Peggy was a graduate of Wilbur Cross High School. She worked many years and retired from the United Illuminating Company. After her retirement she continued on with Pediatric Associates of Cheshire, and also worked in child daycare.

Peggy loved to travel, from California Wine Country with dear friends, to England, Scotland, France, and The Bahamas with family. Her most treasured was a family vacation to Greece.

The most precious part of her life was the time she spent with her husband, children, and granddaughters. Peggy loved holidays with her family and many friends. She was adored by all who knew her and will be greatly missed.
