Margery J. Keeney

Wallingford - Margery J. Keeney of Ashlar Village passed away May 10, 2002 after a courageous fight with cancer. She was born in Hamden, December 16, 1917 a daughter of the late Nathan J. and Carrie Stedman Keeney, Sr. and had resided in Hamden for many years before moving to Wallingford. She was employed as a secretary at the Northeast Engineering Co., a member of Trinity Church on the Green, and later a member of Christ Lutheran Church of Hamden. Miss Keeney is survived by her sister Doris K. Brown Winchester of Hamden, two nephews, Ret. Col. Robert C. Brown, and his wife Cindy of Colorado Springs, CO, Leonard K. Brown and his wife Judy, of East Barnard, VT, two grandnieces, Kelly Mendl, Carrie Ellen Brown, and a grandnephew, Eric Brown. She was predeceased by a brother, Nathan J. Keeney and her best friend, William Loefstedt. Relatives and Friends are invited to attend a memorial service on Saturday May 18th at 12:30 pm at Christ Lutheran Church, 600 Shepard Ave., Hamden, with Rev. Owen J. Sanderson, officiating. There will be no calling hours. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Arrangements in care of BEECHER & BENNETT, 2300 Whitney Ave., Hamden.
