Mario 'Butch' Samuel Cisto
New Haven-Mario Samuel ''Butch'' Cisto, loving husband of 48 years of Esther Cappiello Cisto of Orange St. passed away Saturday, May 12, 2001 in Yale New Haven Hospital after a brief illness. He was born in Seymour, CT, Nov. 17, 1920 a son of the late Salvatore and Antionette Magnano Cisto and had lived in New Haven since 1953. He was employed at Newton-New Haven Die Casting Co. for 33 years before retiring in 1986. Mr. Cisto served in the U. S. Navy during WW II and traveled extensively throughtout the world. He formerly attended the West Woods Bible Chapel. He was the beloved father of Mark R. (Debbie) Cisto of Northford, Sharon (Nick) Ciarlo of Wallingford, Gary Cisto of Hamden, Deborah (Sal) Cisto-Camera of North Haven and Susan (Sam) Rifaey of Weston, cherished papa of Amy, Jason, Katherine, Christopher, Kimberly, Sarah, Emily, Jordan and Alexia, brother of Rose D'Alexander of Ansonia, he is also survived by many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by 3 sisters; Josephine DiGiovanni, Jennie Cisto, Mary Marra, and 3 brothers, Thomas, Paul and Joseph Cisto. Funeral service will be held at BEECHER & BENNETT, 2300 Whitney Ave., Hamden, Wednesday, May 16 at 11 AM. Friends may call Tuesday from 5-8PM and Wednesday morning after 10AM. Burial in All Saints Cemetery.
