Mary Ann McNealy

Mary Ann McNealy went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on May 18, 2009 at Community Hospital Anderson in Anderson, Indiana. She was born Mary Ann Vajner to Jack and Helen Vajner on December 23, 1936 in Anderson, Indiana and lived in Meriden 34 years. She worked as Assistant Recreation Director at Elim Park Place in Cheshire and was a devout member of Calvary Baptist Church in Meriden where she served as choir pianist prior to her move back to IN. Mary Ann, who grew up in Anderson, IN, graduated with a Bachelor Degree in Home Economics from Purdue University and taught at Bedford School in Bedford, IN. She is predeceased by her parents and her first husband of 40 years, Paul Dwight Keller. A dedicated and loving wife and mother, she is survived by her beloved husband Nelson McNealy, her brother John Vajner and his wife Cynthia of Anderson, IN, her 2 sons Barton Dwight Keller (wife Kim) of Egermont Heights, MA, and John Christopher Keller of Meriden, CT, her 3 daughters Kimberly Ann Neilson (husband Kyle), Jennifer Kay Keller and Elizabeth Anne Keller all of Meriden, CT. as well as her 10 grandchildren Victoria, Valerie, Caleb, Joshua, Jacob, Veronica and Joseph Keller, Nicole and Brody Neilson and John Paul Scaglione. She is further survived by her extended family and friends. A funeral service for friends and family will be held on Thursday, May 28, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at the Beecher and Bennett-Flatow Funeral Home, 48 Cook Ave., Meriden, CT. The burial will immediately follow at the Connecticut Veteran's Cemetery in Middletown, CT.
