Mary Fiore Carbone, 100, loving wife of 65 years to the late Joseph “Uncle Joe” Carbone

Long-time resident of East Haven, most recently living at Elim Park Health Center in Cheshire, departed her life on February 2nd, 2025 with her nephew Dale J. Fiore by her side.  Mary’s work journey began on the Maselli Family Farm in Hamden, Ann Allen Clothiers of New Haven, Universal Food Store in East Haven, Lomas & Nettleton Company, and The Bank of Boston’s East Haven Branch.

Mary is survived by her brother, Henry; sisters, Lorraine Fiore, Dolores McGuinness, and Kathryn Bozzi.  She was predeceased by her parents, Maggie and Joseph Fiore Sr.; brothers Nicholas, Joseph Jr., and William; her sister Anabella Masotta. Aunt Mary will be sorely missed by her loving nieces and nephews. Mary’s family would like to extend their gratitude and thanks for the care and love provided to her from the staff at The Village at Mariners Point, The Landing of North Haven, Elim Park Health Center, and Constellation Hospice Care.

Friends may visit with her family at Beecher & Bennett, 2300 Whitney Avenue, Hamden on Friday February 7, 2025 from 8:30 – 10:30 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, 2819 Whitney Avenue, Hamden at 11:00 a.m.  Interment will follow in East Lawn Cemetery.  Memorial contributions may be made in Mary’s name to the St. Paul IV Food Pantry at www.hamdencatholic.org/food-pantry.
