Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. Dear Mr. And Mrs. Mauriello, Ralph and Adam, As you already know Matt and myself knew each other for 50yrs. We laughed and cried together but mostly laughed!!! We were always there for each other over the years in good times and bad. I’ll miss him and always think of Matt!!!

  2. Oh my Matt or as I always called him my Love or my Dear. I have known Matt for over seven years. May not seem long as some have known him a life time but the last seven years do seem like a life time. He and I would have the best talks. A silly memory is when Matt brought me an Apple fritter from Whitney Donut. I had never had one. He said “Dear, you are going to love this”. We each broke off a part, held them together and said “cheers”. We ate it together. I haven’t stopped getting them since. This was the type of man Matt was. He was a kind hearted soul. I miss him terribly and to eat an apple fritter together again would be a dream. Matt, my Love rest in peace. To all of his family and friends you were very lucky to have had him in your lives. My heart is shattered for you all. Until we meet again rest. I will bring you an apple fritter this time.

  3. Friends & Family of Matt I would like to offer my condolences. I knew Matt from Hamden High he was in my graduation class of 86
May he rest in peace 🙏

  4. My sincerest condolences to Matt’s entire family. I had the pleasure of meeting Matt at Alice Peck Elementary school where I witnessed his sense of humor and kindheartedness at its start. I think we all hope to leave this earth beloved, and he clearly was.

    Rest in Peace Matt

  5. Dear Carrie, Matt jr, June, Mario, Ralph and Adam,
I will miss Matt terribly. I recall when he was in the Wizard of Oz at Alice Peck with my daughter and he was a flying monkey. I remember him coming to my home all the time and I would just throw an extra plate on the table as he praised my cooking and helped himself to seconds and thirds. He was “my kid” and I loved him fiercely. In this world so filled with strife and division, he personified kindness, loyalty and unconditional love. He was truly a man too gentle to live among the wolves.

With profound condolences and a heavy heart, I wish you peace.
