Muriel Stromberg Burt

In Hamden, April 23, 2001, Muriel Stromberg Burt, 87, formerly of Hartley St., North Haven. She was predeceased by her beloved husband of sixty-two years, Howard G. Burt. She is survived by her two loving sons, Kenneth H. Burt of Center Barnstead, NH and Donald E. Burt of Wolcott, CT; grandmother of six and great-grandmother of one. Her family also includes two cousins, Marie Stromberg and Nancy Closs of Hartford. Mrs. Burt was a graduate of Larson College (now Quinnipiac University). She was employed as a secretary at the former Second National Bank of New Haven. Mrs. Burt was a columnist for the Hamden Chronicle, she authored ''View from the Ridge''. She was a former President and long time member of the Mt. Carmel Women's Club. Muriel was a member of The Church of the Redeemer where she had been Historian for several years and a member of the Owenego Beach Club of Branford. A Memorial Service will be held at the Church of the Redeemer on Friday, April 27 at 11 a.m. Interment will be private in East Lawn Cemetery.
