Patricia Ann MacGregor, age 74 of Hamden, beloved wife of James R. MacGregor, died on Tuesday, June 30, 2009. She was a daughter of the late Francis 'Chin' and Muriel Murphy Doherty. Besides her husband, Patricia is survived by her devoted children, Jim MacGregor and his wife Nancy of Hamden, Brian MacGregor and his wife Kathy of Monroe, LA, Gayle Murphy and her husband Paul of Hamden, and Sue MacGregor of Westport. Cherished grandchildren, Brittany, Patrick, Justin, Ryan, Brendan, Katelyn, Shannon, and Bryan. Sister of Rita Sullivan of Hamden, and Gerald Doherty of Wallingford, and the late James Doherty, Lucille McSherry, and Audrey Burke. Patricia was an active member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church and she loved bingo. Family and friends meant the world to her. She had a very tender heart filled with much love and compassion. She will be deeply missed by all of her family and friends. Funeral from BEECHER & BENNETT, 2300 Whitney Ave., Hamden, on Friday, July 3rd at 9:30 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in the church of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel. Friends may visit with the family at the funeral home on Thursday evening from 4 to 8:00 p.m. Interment will take place in St. Mary's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in Patricia's memory may be sent to Alfred E. Sullivan, Jr. Scholarship Fund, c/o John Nolan, 323 Washington Ave., Hamden, CT 06518 or Juvenile Diabetes Research, Greater New Haven Chapter, 2969 Whitney Ave., Hamden, CT 06518.
