Ralph E. Connolly, Jr.

MERIDEN - Ralph E. Connolly, Jr., 71, of 38 Home Avenue died Monday, July 3, 2006, at home. He was the husband for 48 years of Irene Gosselin Connolly. He was born in Hartford on Nov. 22, 1934, a son of Louise Eldredge Connolly of Meriden and the late Ralph E. Connolly, Sr. He was a retired letter carrier for the United States Postal Service. Besides his wife, he is survived by three daughters, Karen Eriksson and her husband, Anders of Lund, Sweden, Donna Marie Connolly of Meriden and Anne Marie Fischer and her husband, John of Weymouth, MA; two sons, Ralph E. Connolly III of Meriden and Tech. Sgt. Patrick Connolly and his wife, Tami Grace, in the U.S. Air Corps stationed in England; five grandchildren, David Eriksson, Hanna Eriksson and Jacob Eriksson, all of Lund, Sweden and Eliza Fischer and Kevin Fischer of Weymouth, MA; a sister, Nelleen Braver of Dundee, New York; a brother, a brother, Philip Connolly of Merden and Vermont and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, Johnston Connolly, Sr. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. There will be no calling hours. Arrangements are under the direction of the Beecher and Bennett Flatow Funeral Home, 48 Cook Ave., Meriden.
