Raymond J. Sarro, 88, of Hamden, passed away on May 13, 2016. He was born on September 4, 1927 to the late Carmine and Anna Ferriola Sarro. Ray will be missed by his wife of 25 years, Audrey Cavalieri Sarro; stepsons, Michael (Debra) Masella of Durham, Paul (Lori) Masella of Wallingford, Steve (Debra) Masella of Wallingford; 12 step-grandchildren; 9 step-great grandchildren; daughters, Margaret and Debbie Sarro; sisters, Estelle Ferriola and Jessi Pack-Diamond and his sister in-law Marilyn Clemons of FL. He was predeceased by brothers, Michael, Carmen, John, and Mark & his sister Ann Pelloni. Ray was a proud WWII U.S. Marine and his name can be found on the Hamden Memorial Wall. He was the owner of Whitney Painters. Ray enjoyed his many trips to the casino. His family would like to thank the staff at the Autumn Lake Nursing Home in Cromwell for their care and compassion given to Ray. Friends may visit with his family on Sunday, May 15th from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at BEECHER & BENNETT FUNERAL HOME, 2300 Whitney Ave, Hamden, concluded with his Funeral Service at 5:00 PM in the funeral home. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be sent to Hospice Palliative Care, Middlesex Hospital, 28 Crescent St, Middletown, CT 06457.
