In Branford, Aug. 3, 2003, Richard Allen Thomas, Jr., 61, husband of Joan Kelsey Thomas of Centerbrook Rd., Hamden, father of Linda Wetmore and her husband, Ronald of Hamden, Scott Thomas and his wife, Sheryl of Hamden and Richard Thomas, III and his wife Laurie of Summerfield, NC, brother of Brenda Lanni of St. Augustine, FL. Also survived by 7 grandchildren. He was born in Mobile, AL, Nov. 1, 1941 son of the late Richard A. Thomas, Sr. and Louise Bryant Thomas. He had worked as a manufacture's representative. Friends may call at BEECHER & BENNETT, 2300 Whitney Ave., Hamden, Wed., Aug. 6 from 9 - 10 a.m. Funeral service and interment will be private. i started thinking about you today grandpa. i miss you so much. you’ve missed so much and i have so much i wish i shared with you. i wish i could have said a proper goodbye. i had no idea you were so sick. i feel bad that our last conversation was a stupid little argument about jfk jr. i love you so much grandpa. i will make sure no one dies of cancer ever again. even if it’s donating, i’ll help find a cure. i know i’ll see you again one day, but i just wish you were here now. you’d be so proud of me, i just know it. i love you grandpa and i know yu’re in a special place in Heaven with Great-Nana, waiting for us to be a family again.
