Robert F. Strampach
 
                                    In Hamden,  April 7, 2002,  Robert F. Strampach, 71,  husband of the late Doris Mae Scott Strampach of Hamden: father and father-in-law of Patricia and James Copley  and John and Nancy Strampach all of Hamden:  loving grandfather of  Elizabeth Strampach and John James (JJ) Strampach: also survived by several counsins. Robert was born in New Haven, June 21, 1930 a son of the late Frank and Florence Muenzner Strampach. He served  in the US Army during the Korean War. He was employed by Whitney Blake and  retired as a supervisor with 30 years of service at the Hamden Public Works, Parks and Tree Dept.  Robert  also served as a Captain with the West Woods Volunteer Co. # 9, Hamden Fire Dept. and was a member of the Mt. Carmel Congregational Church.    Friends may call at  BEECHER & BENNETT, 2300 Whitney Ave., Hamden, Thursday, April 11, 2002 after 1 PM.  Graveside Service at Centerville Cemetery at 3 o'clock. Johnny and Pat, Uncle Bobby was so loving to Aunt Doris when we came to visit.He babied her so with gentleness,only loving someone like that is true love.We took the news very hard.I think of it that Uncle Bobby is with Aunt Doris now and that is what he wanted.We miss everyone and wish we were there.
