Robert O. Christensen, Sr. , 64, of 17 Maple Street, Hamden entered into rest on Thursday, October 21, 2004 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was a devoted husband to his wife Dorothy Finoia Christensen. Born in New Haven on March 22, 1940, he was the son of the late Frederick and Catherine Dolan Christensen, Sr. Prior to his death, He was the Owner/President of Robert O. Christensen Cemetery Maintenance. Besides his wife, Robert was a loving father to his children Diane Puliscano and her husband Dean of Alton, VA, Catherine Christensen of New Haven, CT, Roberta Delgobbo of East Haven, CT, Robert O. Christensen, Jr., of New York, John (Gus) Christensen and wife Lisa of Wallingford, CT and Jennifer Guevin and husband Randy and James Christensen and wife Michelle of Hamden, CT. He is also survived by his beloved sister, Nancy Zielenski of Wallingford, CT and the 17 pride and joys of his life, his grandchildren, Jeremy & Shawn Pulisciano, John Mitchell, Janet and Richard Abley, Robin and Steven Delgobbo, Robert O. Christensen, III, Joshua, Jessica, Johnathan and Joseph Christensen, Amanda, Randy, Jr., Cassandra and Jared Guevin and his great-granddaughter, Hayley Pulisciano. He was predeceased by his brother, Frederick Christensen, Jr. Funeral from BEECHER & BENNETT, 2300 Whitney Ave., Hamden, Monday Oct. 25 at 10:30 Funeral service at Christ Lutheran Church, 600 Shepard Ave., Hamden at 11:00 AM.
