Rose Eastman O'Donnell, of Blue Hills Ave, Hamden & Boca Raton, FL, beloved mother and special friend too many, passed away on June 15, 2012 in St. Raphael Hospital. Rose was the widow of Earl Francis Eastman, Jr and Robert T. 'Bubby' O'Donnell; mother of Kelli Eastman Marcucci & her husband Joseph of Woodbridge, Jeffrey Eastman & his wife Mary of Bethany and the late Earl Francis Eastman III; step-mother of Jayne O'Donnell & her husband Richard Willing of McClean, VA & Atty. John 'Jack' O'Donnell & his wife Karen of Hamden; grandmother of Colin Bradley, Meagan & Jeffrey Eastman, Sam Morley, Jake, Hank & Maggie O'Donnell & Cate Willing and sister of Gerald Santagata of Branford, Marie Duro of East Haven and the late Gloria Powers & Raymond Santagata. Rose was born in New Haven, a daughter of the late Joseph & Antoinette Navarro Santagata. She retired from Southern New England Telephone Company after 25 years of employment. Rose was an avid gardener, she loved bingo and enjoyed her golf at the Boca Dunes Country Club in Florida. Her funeral will leave from BEECHER & BENNETT FUNERAL HOME, 2300 Whitney Ave, Hamden on Wednesday, June 20th at 9:30 AM followed by her Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in the Church of St. Rita. Relatives & friends may visit with her family at the funeral home on Tuesday from 5:00 to 8:00 PM. Interment will take place in Beaverdale Memorial Park, Hamden. Contributions in her memory may be made to the Fr. Michael McGivney Center for Cancer Care, 659 George St, New Haven, CT 06511.

  3. Elaine and I have many fond memories of Rose during our winter stay in FLorida. She always had a smile on her face. When I called bingo on Tuesday nights, Rose would smile when I would call a number with a .B. for .Bubby. Our deepest sympathy to her family Tom and Elaine Joseph .
