Theresa Amorim

Theresa Amorim, 74, of New Haven passed away Friday July 18, 2008. She was born in Chaves, Portugal, April 2, 1934 daughter of the late Joao and Maria Calvao Amorim. She was a food processor for Matlaw Food Co., of West Haven for 20 years prior to her retirement 9 years ago. Miss Amorim was a resident of Brazil for many years. She is survived by her twin sister, Caudida Amorim of New Haven, a brother Ilidio Amorim and his wife Belmira of Hamden, sisters Altina Calvao of New Bedford, MA and Aurinda Sanches and her husband Francisco of New Haven. Also survived by several nieces and nephews and grand nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her brother-in-law Ilidio Calvao. Funeral from BEECHER & BENNETT, 2300 Whitney Ave., Hamden Wednesday, July 23, 2008 at 9:30 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Sacred Heart Church, New Haven at 10 a.m. Interment will be in All Saints Cemetery, North Haven. Friends may visit with the family Tuesday from 4-8 p.m.
