Yetta C. Meehan

Yetta C. Meehan, age 94, of Hamden, passed away on October 19, 2011 in Yale New Haven Hospital. Born in Kubilka, Poland on September 20, 1917, she was the daughter of the late Felix & Jennie Wronski Zdanowich. Yetta was the widow of George Meehan; mother of Yetta Lautenschlager & her husband Robert Martel of Manchester and Ronald Mikolinski & his wife Lorraine of Hamden; grandmother of Yetta Augur, Kristin Wetmore, Tammy Rajcula and Ronald M. Mikolinski. She is also survived by 8 Great Grandchildren. Yetta retired from the Whitney Blake Company after 33 years of service, working in their quality control division, she also co-owned and worked along with her husband in their cabinet company, Meehan Cabinets. Yetta was a devoted Grandmother and adored her Great Grandchildren. She was a longtime member of the Dunbar Hill Community Club. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, October 22, 2011 at 10:00 AM in the Church of the Ascension, 1040 Dunbar Hill Rd, Hamden. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Yetta's memory may be made to Animal Haven, 89 Mill Road, North Haven, CT 06473. Arrangements are in care of BEECHER & BENNETT FUNERAL HOME, 2300 Whitney Ave, Hamden.
